Description
Christmas is celebrated all over the world, each with its own traditions. In Curaçao this is no different! The December of Hope Stamps series
shows you why Curaçao is a great country to visit at Christmas. The stamps show the typical Christmas lights decorations that mark the
season on the island, including beautiful Christmas balls. Each ball has one special thing about Curaçao. Look closely at the stamps and you’ll
see that each ball is made out of something typical from the island, such as the famous Curaçao sign at the Wilhelminaplein, Brionplein,
Queen Juliana Bridge, and “Ka’i Pal’i Maishi”.
The top of the stamps have tropical palm trees, referring to the next Christian party: Palm Sunday. The background has shiny elements as
well as gold glitter and golden stars. Some of the glitters have a gold foil which makes it a perfect masterpiece for any collectors out there`
