Transportation of lithium cells and batteries by air is allowed under the following conditions
- The amount of lithium is not more than 1 gram/20 wh per each cell, and not more than 2 gram/100 wh per each battery.
- A maximum of 4 cells or 2 batteries in one device per shipment is allowed.
- Batteries must not weigh heavier than 5 kg per consignment.
- Batteries should always be contained in equipment (installed inside of the hardware).
- Batteries may be used ones, but not damaged or defective.
- Batteries shall not be sensitive to overheating or short circuit.
- Consignment must be packed in a strong outer packaging made of suitable material in relation to contents of the package.
